Analysis of the Development Status and Prospects of China's Glass Industry
Analysis of the Development Status and Prospects of China's Glass Industry: China's glass enterprises are mainly distributed in the central and eastern regions of Liaoning, Hebei, Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Fujian, etc. The fragile nature of glass itself and the limitations of transportation result in its sales model being divided into intensive marketing within 300 kilometers, selective distribution within 300-800 kilometers, and exclusive marketing beyond 800 kilometers. This is what we often refer to as the sales radius of glass enterprises being 500 kilometers. Many glass enterprises mainly rely on the demand area when building their factories. With the large-scale development and construction of the central and eastern regions of China, glass enterprises have formed a considerable scale in this area. Glass production enterprises in Hebei, Shandong, Jiangsu, and Guangdong have become industry representatives.
The glass market in China has certain regional characteristics, but the circulation of glass markets in different regions is not completely consistent. Usually, when the price of glass in East China increases, goods will be transported to the East China market due to convenient transportation; When the price of glass in the region drops, products will flow out of the market to achieve equilibrium. Due to inconvenient transportation and relatively closed market, the price of glass in the Southwest region differs greatly from other regions. In this way, we will see that glass prices vary across regions at the same time. This regional division is also caused by the limitations of glass's own conditions.
